 Cailleach

The Cailleach is the ancient goddess of the weather.
Her name comes from the old Gaelic word caillech, the veiled. Today the Cailleach is known as an old woman or witch who washes her plaid in the Corryvreckan whirlpool until the hills are white with snow. She has the power to create or destroy landscapes.
